Fun times in California

California has much to offer the charter bus visitor, from the foggy vistas of the Golden Gate Bridge, the sun kissed beaches of Southern California to the massive redwood forests in the high Sierras, but when you say California, what everyone thinks of is fun at a theme park.  A great way of getting around California’s theme parks and having loads of fun is with a bus, coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coach or school bus chartered from Charter Bus California.  Travel around California in style and comfort as your charter bus takes you around to visit some of the greatest theme parks in California.

Everyone knows the Happiest Place on Earth.  Disneyland is the biggest tourist attraction in California, and indeed one of the most popular theme parks in the world for charter bus visitors. Disneyland opened in 1955, and was divided into eight themed "lands" with rides and attractions.  A second park, called Disney's California Adventure, opened in 2001, featuring rides based on a Golden State theme.  Downtown Disney stands between the two parks, allowing charter bus visitors to do some shopping for souvenirs and a trio of official hotels completes the resort.  The parks become crowded during the summer, spring break and Christmas seasons. Weekdays and off-season periods in winter and autumn tend to be much quieter as far as crowds go, allowing charter bus visitors to enjoy more of the park.

Miramar, otherwise known as “Fightertown, U.S.A.”, where the U.S. Navy trains its aviators in air combat, is not too far away, but not many will ever get the chance to sit in the cockpit of a fighter plane.  Flightdeck offers the chance for charter bus visitors to take the controls of a fighter jet in its virtual flight simulations.  Its realistic simulation machines re-enact the experience of piloting an F-16, including take-offs, landings, aerial maneuvers and virtual dogfights with enemy planes. Training sessions are included as part of the package, and Flightdeck caters to private events such as birthday parties and corporate team-building exercises.  Reservations are required, and the minimum age for a simulator ride is 13.

Knott's Berry Farm began as a actual berry farm in 1928, and claims to be the country's first theme park.  The farm’s owners added rides and attractions to bring in customers, and today Knott’s Berry Farm draws in charter bus visitors from all over the world. Located a short charter bus ride away in nearby Buena Park, it's the area's first-choice alternative to Disneyland.  Rides cater a little more to thrill-seekers than does Disneyland, with faster roller coasters and a Halloween "Knott's Scary Farm" theme that has become a Southern California tradition. Family rides and children's rides are on-site as well and Snoopy and the "Peanuts" gang serve as the park's mascots.
